Must Have Gadget in 2010

Lenovo IdeaPad U1
The 3.8-pound IdeaPad U1 runs
Windows 7 and offers a 128GB
solid-state drive. If you detach
the 11.6-inch screen, you get a
Linux-based multitouch tablet.
Many people will choose be -
tween a laptop and a tablet this
year; the convertible U1, coming
this spring for around $1000,
might make their decision easy.

Apple iPhone 4G
Rumors abound that the next iPhone—the “iPhone
4G,” as it’s being called— could appear as early as
this spring. Speculative designs like this one by
Isamu Sanada are showing up on the Internet as
the pressure mounts for Apple to upgrade its hugely popular phone to
better compete with new Android smartphones.

Sezmi
Sezmi can stream video from the Web and
your PC to your TV, but it can also grab overthe-
air broadcasts via an in-home array an -
tenna. The gear ($299) and the service ($5 to
$25 per month) launch nationwide this year

Alienware M11x
Far smaller than previous gaming
laptops, the 11.6-inch M11x
sports a 1336-by-768-pixel highdef
screen, and can play current
games at a stunning 30 frames
per second. The M11x ships this
spring for less than $1000.

HTC Nexus One
Though the Nexus One
($179 with contract) is no
more a “Google phone”
than the HTC G1 is, it’s the
best Android phone available
today. And Google
has done such a good job
associating itself with the
Nexus One in the minds of
consumers and the media
that the handset is bound
to sell like hotcakes.

Microsoft ‘Project Natal’ for Xbox 360

Later this year, Microsoft will one-up Nintendo’s Wii with its own
3D-motion-sensing controller. Players can use full-body gestures,
like kicks or punches, to interact with the action on screen.

HP TouchSmart IQ508a

HP Pavilion Touchsmart IQ508a PC  is a touchscreen PC where you can be able to do an action on it with touching the screen. It is equipped with wireless keyboard and mouse. This computer is not a "perfect" computer. HP TouchSmart software is also included and is the major highlight of the PC. This software allows users to listen to their music, play stored videos, check the weather, write post-it notes, play games (like Spider Solitaire, Chess Titans, and Mahjong), and surf the Internet. The interface is divided into two major sections, with the one on top displaying live content. The touch-sensitive screen worked well for the main icons, but unfortunately we had some issues pressing (and dragging) the smaller icons on the screen.
Since the unit comes with a built-in TV tuner, users can record TV shows directly to the hard drive and watch TV shows when they want to. It also comes with a built-in Wi-Fi, allowing users to stream/retrieve content from their existing home network.

Late 2009 iMac 27-inch

This is the Late 2009 version of iMac with 27" screen. As usual, iMac always make a simple but elegant technology which has become their trademark. With a very high quality display and wireless Mac keyboard and mouse this "thing" is the most simple desktop I ever seen. With HD display it is very suitable for graphic designer. I tested Iron Man 2 HD trailer in the iSwitch Shop today and my impression is one word. "Wow!"

For this version of Mac all the USB and Audio slots are embedded behind the beautiful screen. Mac technology of elegant always way in front of other competitors  but a great power always comes with a great responsibility

Innity

Innity is another ads network like Nuffnang which gave you money through ads click or view in your website..
For those who interested can apply this at Innity's Website but not like nuffnang, innity has a Site Requirement. But still you can try to apply it because it give much more money than Nuffnang. Your glitterati status from nuffnang also will be gone because innity is a Malaysian Company.

One thing I want to tell you that innity ads are like Nuffnang which sometimes "sleep". So if you see innity ads that show join "innity" thats mean its not an ad because innity ads are like Nuffnang which is Celcom, Tigerairways etc.

Guide To Build a Computer 2 : Motherboard

Motherboard like a mother to your computer.. (its name also "mother"board). It play important role in your computer performance and how "far" your computer performance can go after full-power upgrading.
Steps to choose a motherboard :

1. Processor
Of course it depend on your processor.. There no way you could use AMD processor on INTEL keyboard. ( I hope there are no one make this mistake ). For AMD it has various socket like AM3, AM2+ and AM2. This socket depend on your processor, so please check your processor socket before buying a motherboard. For INTEL, the socket for Dual Core, Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad is 775, Core i3 and Core i5 is 1156 and for Core i7 is 1366. With different socket processor, you'll need to buy different kind of motherboard.

2. Manufacturer
There are a lot of motherboard manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte etc. Each manufacturer has its own price and specialty but even with the same manufacturer, your motherboard performance might be VERY GOOD or VERY BAD. So before buying, you'll need to list the motherboards you want and search for reviews via internet so you'll know its problem and its specialty.

3. Chipset
Chipset is important for you computer. It determine the performance of your graphics either ATI or nVidia.
AMD chipset is build to CrossFire which is a "term" for using two graphic card in one computer for ATI's graphic card. nVidia chipset is build to SLi which is a "term" for using two graphic card in one computer for nVidia's graphic card. If you choose wrong partner, you can't SLi or CrossFire your graphics.

4. Performance
Different motherboard performance comes with different price. You must make sure:

  • RAM clocks that you want to use (eg. DDR2 800MHz or DDR3 1333MHz) and make sure your motherboard can support it and how many RAM slot it have.
  • Graphic Card Slot : This is important because make sure you choose 1 slot if you want to use one graphic card and NEVER EVER want to CrossFire or SLi, and 2 slot if you want to or plan to CrossFire or SLi.
  • SATA Slot : How many hard disk you have? Make sure SATA slots are enough for you.
  • Functions : You can use multi-function or less-function motherboard. Multi-function is good if you want to overclocking or know what the functions are and less-function for you don't think you'll use any of its function and less-function equal to less-power and less-price.
For futher info you can refer to this Site

THE LAST IMPORTANT THING IS MAKE A LIST BEFORE CHOOSING MOTHERBOARD

Guide To Build a Computer 1 : Processor

Now i will make a guide how to build a computer. All this guide are make based on my experience, so if there something i state wrong, please give comment. I will divide this guide to several part because it's too long to write all at once. So here the first part of the guide.

1. PROCESSOR

Processor is the heart most important thing in a computer. Mostly of your computer performances come from here. So you must make a wise choice to pick your processor.
As we know.. there are two main processor you can choose.. AMD and Intel processor. Both processor have its own pros and cons.

1. Price
All people in the universe Some people know that INTEL has a high price compare to AMD even though its clocks are lower than AMD. See the clocks and price different between both processor in red below

You can get a WAY different clocks speed processor with lower price with AMD but still INTEL has higher cache memory which is important for multitasking.

2. Performance
Obviously AMD INTEL has the best performance. You can check it here at Tom's Hardware site. INTEL has the best multitasking processor which is important if you involve in graphic design or engineering design. AMD is good when it come to gaming because when you play game you only run one program.

3. Power Usage
I don't have a lot of experience here but from other article i read, AMD cost more power than INTEL which is not good for your bill but good if you're using your PC at university which you doesn't need to pay for electric bill. AMD also has higher temperature than INTEL which you need to buy a good cooler for AMD processor especially if you want to overclock your PC.
for overclocking ask someone else because i don't know much about it

4. Conclusion
You buy AMD if

  • Not using your computer for multitasking
  • Mainly playing games
  • Have a low budget but want a powerful PC
You buy INTEL if
  • You use your computer to do graphic design or engineering design software
  • Multitasking a lot
  • Want a very high performance PC
  • Have a lot of money and you don't know where to waste your money
if you ask me which one i pick surely i'll answer AMD because i'm an AMD fan. AMD FTW!!

Guide To Buy A Laptop

This is a guide by me of how to buy a laptop. First of all.. I need to tell you guys i'm NOT a laptop fan because I'm hate not comfortable working with laptop but at least with a great a little knowledge of mine in computer i can guide you how to choose a laptop.

1. BUDGET
This is the most important thing when you want to buy not only laptop.. but everything you want to buy. You must first consider your budget before go to shop and make choice because the salesman will make sure you buy the CHEAPEST highest price laptop. You must make a range of your budget for example RM2000-RM2600. Don't be cheated by the free gift from buying the laptop because the free gift is usually the cheapest item on the market and you can purchase it yourself later.

2. PURPOSES
Purposes are also important point in buying a laptop. For example if you want to buy a laptop for presentation (eg. for lecturer) and travel a lot, you may need a small laptop like SONY VAIO P Series. If you're a student and do a lot of work and playing games with your laptop.. maybe you need a casual laptop that sell a lot nowadays.

3. Brands
Here 3 example of brands that in your budget.

There are a lot of brands nowadays with same price range with a different performance. For example
1. CompaQ are known because it is the cheapest brand with good hardware.
2. Toshiba are known as the highest price and long lasting laptop
3. Dell are known as the BEST after service provider.

4. Hardware and Performance
From the three example above.. you can compare the spec of all the three item. You can ask someone who knows about computer hardware and suggest it to you OR you can search the internet for people's review about the item. A lot of people like to write review about laptop or computer hardware so you can easily find a nice review.

LASTLY MAKE UP YOUR MIND BEFORE BUYING AND DON'T BELIEVE 100% OF WHAT THE SALESMAN TELL YOU!

New Year Eve Without Money

First of all I like to wish all of you Merry Christmas Happy New Year 2010.
I still thinking about my 2010's resolution but still nothing come across of my mind yet. Maybe I just want to score pass this semester exam.
Almost all of my friends went to 2010 countdown somewhere but for me I just stay at campus because my money are too many all gone. Suddenly I got an IM from my friend asked me out to buy a new motherboard.

This is because his motherboard are too suck old to support his PC. He can't format his PC and kept stuck at the Windows Vista Installation windows. So, we went to PC Depot to buy his new motherboard.

He buy a MSI P43-C51 motherboard with a 2x1GB Kingston KVR1333 DDR3 ram. I'm shocked with the price increment of DDR2 ram which now nearly the same price as DDR3 ram.
For the specification of the motherboard is here. MSI Website.

This motherboard is very overclocking friendly with easy-to-use BIOS and some hardware on the motherboard to ON/OFF the overclocking.

After buying it, we spend around one three hours to dissemble his PC and assemble it with his NEW motherboard

My New Year Eve end at Thai Restaurant with my favorite fried rice "Nasi Goreng Belacan"

and its price is MYR 4.00
This restaurant located near to my campus at Parit Buntar, Perak, Malaysia.
